What is Pyroborea?

Pyroborea is a weekend of workshops, activities, and an all-night prop jam featuring hula hoops, poi, staff, and other flow toys.

Where can I stay?

Pyroborea is a camp out event. You'll be responsible for your own camping set up. There is room for tents, and even a few RVs.

What about food?

In the spirit of radical self reliance, participants will be responsible for preparing their own meals. You can cook for yourself, or form a small camp to share resources. There will be no food vendors.

What's included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes camping, workshops, evening activities, an all night fire jam, and more activities on Sunday as well. The event is held on a large property by the James River.

Who can attend Pyroborea

Anyone who spins fire, or wants to learn. There will be workshops on prop spinning, fire safety and an all night fire jam.

What is Prop Slam?

Prop Slam is a prop spinning competition based on the poetry slam model. Competitors spin for up to 3 minutes, and audience volunteers give them a score to determine the champion.

What are renegade workshops?

Anyone can teach a renegade workshop. It's an opportunity for participants to teach a skill they are passionate about.
